Day 1:
Morning:
Start your day off right with delicious coffee from The Bird’s Nest. Not only is the coffee stellar, the shop also strongly emphasizes community and connection, so you might just make a new friend while you’re there!
Afternoon: Explore the Beach
After your morning pick-me-up, the first thing you’ll want to do is explore the beach. The north shore of Oahu is absolutely stunning, and the beaches near Turtle Bay will take your breath away. There are four Turtle Bay Beaches:
- Kawela Bay
- Tide Pools
- Keiki Cove
- Kings Walk
Each beach will have its pros and cons, of course, but they all have beautiful views. Oahu’s north shore is famous for surfingas well, so you can try your hand at hanging ten! Kawela Bay and Keiki Cove are the top options for beginner surfers near Turtle Bay Resort.
If it’s your first time, consider taking a surfing lesson at the resort! There are several surfing schools to choose from to help you have the best day out on the water.
Dinner:
For dinner on night one, go with a classic! Try some poke on Oahu. One of our favorite options that’s not too far from our Turtle Bay Villas is Tamura’s Market.
Day 2:
Morning:
For Day Two in Turtle Bay, we must suggest Ted’s Bakery. They have some of the best breakfast sandwiches on the island, plus stellar options like omelets, bacon and eggs, corned beef hash, and more. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, try one of their delectable Danishes, turnovers, or muffins! They also have a wide range of absolutely scrumptious pies available—if you’re celebrating while on the island, this is the spot for you!
Afternoon: Go Golfing
What could be better than enjoying the gorgeous scenery while teeing off on an Oahu golf course? If you’re an avid golfer, we can’t think of a better place. There are two impressive courses at the Turtle Bay Resort: The Arnold Palmer Course and the George Fazio Course. It’s not every day that you get to play on a course designed by Arnold Palmer himself! The course
Dinner: Buzz’s Original Steakhouse
Yum! Enjoy dinner at Buzz’s Original Steakhouse for great food and a wonderful time looking out on the water. Their signature cocktails are hard to beat, too! It’s the perfect stop after a day out on the golf course.
Day 3:
Morning:
The Sunrise Shack is a nice option in the morning for the third day of your 4-Day Turtle Bay Itinerary. It’s a health food spot, with plenty of options including acai bowls, smoothies, specialty toasts, and even bullet coffee. They also have health shots available if you want a little immunity or wellness shot to start your morning off right!
Afternoon/Dinner: Paniolo Luau
There’s nothing more authentically Hawaiian than attending a luau. Immerse yourself in the tradition of Hawaiian ranching (“paniolo” literally means Hawaiian cowboy) when you attend this luau at the Turtle Bay Resort.
This might just be the highlight of your visit! Enjoy dinner, drinks, and an outdoor show that pays homage to Hawaiian cowboy heritage. The food is delicious, with a pig roast, fresh salads, an array of desserts, and even delicious s’mores around the fire!
Day 4:
Morning:
On your last morning at the Turtle Bay Resort, don’t travel too far—you can enjoy outstanding coffee right here at Ho‘olana. Enjoy your morning joe with a side of delicious fresh fruit, hardy oven-fresh baked goods, and gorgeous ocean views.
Afternoon: Go On a Horseback Riding Adventure
There’s nothing more exciting than going on a horseback riding adventure! You have a few options to book your fantasy adventure.
Turtle Bay Resort has several horseback riding options, from a late afternoon ride to a pony ride experience for little ones and even a romantic sunset ride. Choose from all of the available options here!
There are great horseback rides off the resort, too! Gunstock Ranch is a tried-and-true favorite. Experience Hawaii like the cowboys (paniolo) once did! When you ride at Gunstock Ranch, you’re Ohana. The small, intimate tours there will allow you to see some of the best views in Oahu from a magnificent vantage point—atop a horse! Whether you’re an expert rider or it’s your first time, you’ll have a blast.
Dinner:
Enjoy a nice dinner at Lei Lei’s Bar & Grill to finish out your 4-day Turtle Bay itinerary. You can walk there from our Turtle Bay Villas! You’ll have beautiful views of the ocean and the Fazio golf course here. It’s an excellent way to round out your trip!
